Joel Dahmen will be hoping to become the first golfer to successfully defend the
Corales Puntacana Championship when he participates in this year's event.
The American golfer is currently ranked 100th in the Official World Golf Rankings and he will be keen to improve his ranking by winning the tournament.
Dahmen's two-under 70 was enough for a one-shot win at the Puntacana Resort and Club over Sam Ryder and Rafael Campos last year.

Therefore, the Washington-born golfer clinched his maiden tournament on the PGA Tour having turned professional in 2014.
Prior to winning in the Dominican Republic, Dahmen finished second at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship behind his compatriot Max Homa.
The 34-year-old did win two PGA Tour Canada events in 2014 which were PC Financial Open and Syncrude Boreal Open in what was his debut season as a professional.
Dahmen is coming into the 2022 Corales Puntacana Championship having finished 33rd at The Players Championship and 39th at the Valspar Championship last month.
“It’s really hard to win golf tournaments. I knew it was hard," Dahmen said after winning the Corales Puntacana Championship.
"But I can’t believe how hard it actually is. I was in control, I felt like I was doing – my body was just doing other things.
"Thankfully, I had a couple good up-and-downs there on 16 and 17. And I don’t know how I tapped in that 2- or 3-footer there, but thankfully it went in," he added.
“Hopefully back home in Clarkston, Lewiston, you’re partying. Mesa Country Club (Arizona) boys open the tab, I’ll be home next week. This is unbelievable.”
