2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational
US PGA Tour
Bay Hill Club and Lodge
Bayhill, Orlando, Florida, USA
3-6 March 2022
Rory McIlroy will be hoping to win the
Arnold Palmer Invitational for the second time in his illustrious career.
The Northern Irish golf icon, who is a four-time major champion, won this tournament in 2018 with a final-round 64 as Bryson DeChambeau finished second.
McIlroy finished at 18-under par for the tournament and his winning score was the second-lowest to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational since 2004.

This was the accomplished golfer's first win since winning the Tour Championship (and FedEx Cup) in 2016 and he has since enjoyed more success.
Since then McIlroy has won six PGA tournaments including The Players Championship, Tour Championship and WGC-HSBC Champions.
The year 2021 saw the Florida-based sportsman win the Wells Fargo Championship and CJ Cup in order to maintain his place in the Official World Golf Rankings and he is currently ranked fifth.
Having won 20 PGA tournaments, McIlroy has stated that he is tired of talking about the proposed Saudi-backed golf Super League when competing at the recent Genesis Invitational last month.

The 32-year-old, who won the 2011 US Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 Open Championship, and 2014 PGA Championship, thinks the PGA Tour offers plenty of opportunity for quality golfers.
"Oh, I'm so sick of it," McIlroy said when asked if he was growing tired of the topic.
"Oh, I'm so sick of it. I guess I'm intrigued who would (join). Certainly for the younger guys, it just seems a massive risk.
"I can maybe make sense of it for the guys that are getting to the later stages of their career, for sure. I don't think that's what a rival golf league is really, that's not what they're going to want, is it?"
Tiger Woods is the most successful golfer in the history of the Arnold Palmer Invitational having won the tournament a record eight times.
