Thomas Detry will be among the favourites to win the
Corales Puntacana Championship based on his ranking on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).
What to know about Detry
The 30-year-old is a Belgian golfer who plays on the European Tour and PGA Tour having turned professional in 2016.
Detry's first professional win came at the Bridgestone Challenge as he set Challenge Tour records for largest margin of victory and tied for lowest score under-par with Ivó Giner.
The year 2022 was his best on the PGA Tour as he finished second at Butterfield Bermuda Championship and 34th at The Open Championship.

Detry is coming into the 2023 Corales Puntacana Championship having competed at The Players Championship where he missed the cut on March 21.
The 2018 ISPS Handa Melbourne World Cup of Golf winner with Thomas Pieters has maintained a top 35 finish at the five PGA Tournaments he has taken part in this year.

Ranked 82nd on the OWGR, Detry is the highest ranked golfer among those who are set to compete in the Corales Puntacana Championship.
The Uccle-born golfer's performance (runner-up) at last year's Butterfield Bermuda Championship shows that Detry close is not far from clInching his maiden win on the PGA Tour.

"As many of you will have seen, the icing on the cake came with a second place finish at the PGA Tour Butterfield Bermuda Championship which has helped me all," Detry said.
"The next goal however is reaching that Top 50 mark in the OWGR so I just want to make sure now that the good weeks keep coming."
