Tony Finau will be determined to win the
Texas Children's Houston Open for the second time in his career, after narrowly missing out on the 2024 title.
What to know about Finau
The American golfer turned professional at the age of 17 in 2007 after he won the Utah State Amateur Championship in 2006, defeating future PGA Tour player Daniel Summerhays in the 36-hole championship match.
Finau has so far won nine professional tournaments including six PGA Tour events and his best performance in a golf major is a third-place finish that came in the US Open and Open Championship.

The man nicknamed Big Tone has been inactive since he competed in 2025 The Players Championship in Florida, USA, where he missed the cut.
Big Tone is currently ranked 32nd on the Official World Golf Rankings and his best OWGR ranking is ninth place.
Why Finau is among the favourites
The tall golfer tends to perform well in the Texas Children's Houston Open, having won the 2022 event after securing a four-shot wire-to-wire victory.
Finau came into the 2024 tournament as the defending champion and he finished second behind winner, Stephan Jager, and he will be keen to reclaim the title this weekend.

“In a position to win a tournament, you want to know what you’ve got to do. It was different nerves, I’ve never been in that position before where I was that far in front.
