Atletico Madrid will renew their rivalry with Real Madrid in a
Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on May 8.
The Mattress Makers succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Bilbao away in their previous league game which was played on April 30.
As a result, Atletico are now winless in their last two matches in this competition having recorded one draw and a defeat to Bilbao.

However, the Mattress Makers are undefeated in their last five home matches in La Liga having registered four consecutive wins and one draw.
"I would like to congratulate Real Madrid on the title they have won, but we respect our fans a lot," Atletico defender Jose Maria Gimenez said after their defeat to Bilbao.
"Nothing's wrong with us. It's just that the opponent plays, too. Congratulations to them for the result. We just have to keep working. We have to achieve our goals and we have to achieve them no matter what.
"We have to win the games that are left, no matter what. They are very difficult games, like all the games in La Liga, but we are going to try to take them forward."

Meanwhile, Real hammered a hapless RCD Espanyol side 4-0 at home in their previous league game which was played on April 30.
The Whites are now unbeaten in their last five matches in this competition having registered five consecutive victories.
Real are also undefeated in their last six away matches in La Liga having recorded one draw and five successive wins as the visitors.
The last league meeting between Atletico and Real was on 12 December 2021.
Real grabbed the bragging rights against Atletico as they emerged as 2-0 winners in a match that was played at the world-class Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
