Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick as the Reds thumped Manchester United 5-0 on Sunday to remain a point behind
league leaders Chelsea after nine matches; and the only team yet to lose a league game in the current campaign.
“It’s historical but we as players, we can’t think over our heads," Liverpool forward, Diogo Jota, told Liverpoolfc.com following the win over their fierce rivals. "I think it’s important that we keep our feet on the floor. It’s just [another] three points, there is a long way to go.
"Yeah, I think a clean sheet is always important because if you do that it allows for you just to score one goal and win the game. I think that’s what we need to fight for because with the quality that we have up front, if we keep that clean sheet [then] I’m pretty sure we will win the game."
Brighton are winless in four matches following a 4-1 loss at home to defending league champions Manchester City, and have fallen down to fifth as a result.

Brighton took four points off Liverpool last season. The Seagulls followed a 1-1 draw at Amex Stadium with a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture. Steven Alzate scored the decisive goal at Anfield.
