With the
Shriners Children’s Open set to commence in the next couple of days, Tom Kim is looking forward to retaining his crown after winning the last two editions of the showpiece.
What to know about Kim
Kim is currently the 25
th ranked player in the world after bursting onto the scene in 2022, where he claimed the Wydham Championship before making his debut at the Presidents Cup.
Now though, the 22-year-old will attempt to make PGA Tour History this week by becoming the first player to win the same event three years in a row in more than a decade.
Kim now heads into the Shriners Children’s open as the clear favourite, as he shares the tournament scoring record (24-under) and has posted 44-under in his last eight rounds at an average of 65.5.

Reflecting on the upcoming tournament, Kim recently revealed that he has all the intentions of bagging his 3
rd Shriners Children’s Cup.
"No. 3 sounds a lot better than No. 2, I’m not going to lie to you," Kim said.
"I feel like after 2022, coming off such a great run and then kind of not feeling exactly myself mid-year - it’s been a grind trying to figure it out."
