SC Paderborn will lock horns with TSG Hoffenheim in a
German Bundesliga match at the Benteler Arena on May 23.
Paderborn managed to hold Fortuna Dusseldorf to a 0-0 draw away in their previous match which was played on May 16.
As a result, they are winless in their last seven matches in the league having recorded five defeats and two draws.
Paderborn are also winless in their last four home matches in the Bundesliga having registered four successive defeats.
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Hertha Berlin at home in their previous match which was played on May 16.
The defeat extended Die Kraichgauer's winless run to six matches in the league having recorded two draws and four defeats.
They are also winless in their last three away matches in the Bundesliga having registered one defeat and two draws.
Oliver Baumann, the Hoffenheim goalkeeper, says it is important for the team to improve defensively as they prepare for Paderborn.
"It's a fact that we concede too many goals," Baumann said.
"If you want to compete at the top, it's crucial to defend well and concede as few goals as possible. That game was a blow for us."
The last time Pardeborn took on Hoffenheim in a league match was on 1 November 2019. Die Kraichgauer emerged 3-0 winners over Paderborn in a match which was played at PreZero Arena.
