Canadian starlet Felix Auger-Aliassime will be keen to create more history when he participates in the
US Open semi-finals.
The promising player will go head to head with Daniil Medvedev in a semi-final encounter on September 10 at 21h00.
Auger-Aliassime became the first Canadian player to reach the US Open semi-finals after defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals on September 8.

“It’s an amazing milestone,” Auger-Aliassime said after Alcaraz retired down 6-3, 3-1 due to injury.
“It’s been a fantastic tournament for me. Of course it’s a weird ending today, but in the end, okay, I’m through to the semi-finals.
"And I’ll have a chance to play Friday [September 12] against one of the best players in the world right now, Medvedev.”
The 21-year-old is the second youngest player ranked in the top 20 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), and has a career-high ranking of number 15 in the world.

Auger-Aliassime has never reached a final of a grand slam tournament, but the year 2021 is proving to be a good year for the talented player.
The Monaco-based player reached the Australian Open fourth round and Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time in his career this year.
This will be the second meeting between Auger-Aliassime and Medvedev in competitive matches.
Medvedev defeated Auger-Aliassime 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(9) in the second-round match at the 2018 Rogers Cup.
The winner between Auger-Aliassime and Medvedev will take on either Djokovic or Alexander Zverev in the 2021 US Open final on September 12.
