The Blades have seen their push for survival take a massive hit in recent weeks. A 1-0 loss at fellow relegation candidates Fulham was bottom-placed Sheffield's fourth in their last five matches and leaves them 11 points behind the Cottagers, 14 adrift of safety.
Liverpool's hopes of retaining the Premier League title they won last season took a major blow as they slumped to a 2-0 loss at home to Everton last weekend. It was the first time the Reds have lost to the Toffees since 2010.
The defending champions have lost four in a row which seen them slip to sixth and 19 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City.
"Decisive margins, to score a goal you have to create a situation and finish it off," Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said following their latest defeat at Anfield.
"There is no alternative but to keep going. You concede which is not cool, lose Jordan Henderson which is not cool and I feel the boys dealt with it quite well, could they deal with it better? Maybe. We will keep going.
"We stand here having lost 2-0. I know how important it is. We feel it deep inside. But from tomorrow on I have to use all the good stuff.
"These good situations are the guarantee that we can change it but the decisive moments we have to change as well."

Liverpool defeated Sheffield 2-1 in the reverse fixture on Merseyside earlier this season. Sander Berge opened the scoring for the Blades but the Reds fought back through goals from Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota to claim all three points. Liverpool haven't lost a league game to Sheffield since 1994.
