VFL Wolfsburg will square off with Freiburg in a German
Bundesliga match at the Volkswagen Arena on June 13.
The Wolves secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen away in a match which was played on June 7.
It was Wolfsburg's third win in their last five matches in the league, while the other two games ended in a defeat.
They are winless in their last three home matches in the Bundesliga having recorded two defeats and one draw.
However, Oliver Glasner, the Wolfsburg coach, feels that his side is improving after they secured a win over Bremen.
"The overall defensive effort stands out for me today – we defended very well as a team," Glasner said.
"Generally our performance level has been consistently good over recent weeks. We want to cement that further and then we’ll see what comes out of it.”
Meanwhile, Freiburg are coming off an impressive 1-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach at home in a match which was played on June 5.
The win saw the Breisgau Brazilians snap their four-match winless run in the league having registered two defeats and two draws.
However, they are winless in their last five away matches in the Bundesliga having recorded three draws and two defeats.
The last time Wolfsburg faced Freiburg in a league match was on 7 December 2019. The Breisgau Brazilians claimed a 1-0 win over the Wolves in a match which was played at the Schwarzwald-Stadion.
