Francesco Bagnaia will be keen to make history by becoming the first rider to win three
Austrian MotoGP titles in a row.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider was able to secure a podium spot at the most recent race on the 2024 calendar which was the British MotoGP on 4 August.
Bagnaia secured a third-place finish in the race at the Silverstone Circuit which earned him 16 points, but he finished 20th in the sprint race.
MotoGP title ambitions
The reigning MotoGP world champion is placed second in the 2024 MotoGP Riders' standings having accumulated 238 points from 10 races.
Bagnaia is now three points behind the leader & Ducati rider Jorge Martin as the two Ducati riders go head to head for the world championship.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2024 Austrian MotoGP
The 27-year-old has been unstoppable at the Red Bull Ring in recent years having won the Austrian MotoGP in 2022 and 2023.
Bagnaia, who has won six races in the current season, will be determined to reclaim the top spot on the riders' standings by winning the Austrian MotoGP.
What did he say?
“When Martín [Martin] overtook me, I tried to stay with him but I almost tucked the front at turn seven," Bagnaia said after the 2024 British MotoGP.
"This is when I thought that, after yesterday’s crash, it was better to think about making it to the finish line.
"It’s clear that Enea [Bastianini], when he’s strong already from Friday, is really hard to beat, as he’s known for being very strong in the final part of the race – and he show exactly that today.”
