The Toffees followed a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur with a 5-2 thumping of West Bromwich Albion last weekend, thanks in large part to a hat-trick from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
New signings James Rodríguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucouré all started the match for the Merseyside club as they now set their sights on a third straight win to start the season. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti was suitably pleased with his team's performance but feels there remains a lot of room for improvement.
“I have seen more motivation and focus and ambition [compared to the back end of last season]," said Ancelotti.
“This moment is good but we have to pay attention. Every game can be difficult. This was a good test. Everyone is happy because it was a great result but if you look at the performance there are areas we can do better."
Palace have been equally impressive this season and followed a 1-0 win over Southampton with a 3-1 victory away to Manchester United. Wilfried Zaha scored twice for the Eagles as they won at Old Trafford for the second year in a row.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 0-0 draw while Everton claimed a 3-1 win in the most recent match between the two clubs at Goodison Park. Palace haven't beaten their rivals in the Premier League since 2014.
