Atletico Madrid will square off with RCD Espanyol in a

The Mattress Makers thrashed Girona FC 3-0 at home on 25 August and they are unbeaten in their last three games in the Spanish top-flight.
Atletico have lost two of their last three home matches in the league while the other one ended in a win at the Estádio Cívitas Metropolitano.
Meanwhile, Espanyol suffered a 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad at home on 24 August as they extended their winless run to five matches in La Liga.
The White and Blues are also winless in their last two away matches in the competition having registered one draw and one defeat.

Marcos Paulo is the only player on Atletico's injury list at the moment, but the Madrid giants have no suspension issues coming into this match.
On the other hand, Espanyol will be without Edu Expósito who is currently nursing an injury, but the team has no suspension concerns.
