2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship is scheduled to be held in Memphis, Tennessee USA between 15 and 18 August.
What to know about the tournament
The event was founded as the Westchester Classic in 1967 and since 2007, it has been played as the first tournament of the playoff system for the FedEx Cup.
Since the 2021/22 season, the tournament has been taking place at the TPC Southwind in Memphis and FedEx has been the new title sponsor since 2021.

As the first event in the 2024 FedExCup Playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship will host the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings at the conclusion of the FedExCup Regular Season.
With only 50 players advancing to the following week’s BMW Championship, the penultimate Playoffs event, the action at TPC Southwind promises to be hard-fought throughout the four days of competition.

Defending champion Lucas Glover and top golfers Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Xander Schauffele will headline the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship field.
Past champions of the opening event of the FedExCup Playoffs in the field include Will Zalatoris (2022) who earned his first PGA TOUR victory at TPC Southwind, Tony Finau (2021) and Adam Scott (2013) who won at Liberty National Golf Club and Jason Day (2015) who was victorious at Plainfield Country Club.
What Is At Stake
The 2024 FedEx St.Jude Championship purse is set for $20 million and the winner will receive $3,6 million.
The champion will also receive a silver cup with a rounded base and 2,000 FedEx Cup points for winning the tournament.

Joe Tomek has emphasized that the tournament welcomes everyone, regardless of their attire – whether they choose loafers or sneakers, a polo shirt or a T-shirt, a baseball cap or a mask.
