Scottie Scheffler will be determined to become the third golfer to win back-to-back

What to know about Scheffler
The American star had a successful amateur career, including victory at the US Junior Amateur in 2013 and low-amateur honors at the 2017 US Open.
Since turning professional in 2018, Scheffler has won two major championships, both the 2022 and 2024 Masters Tournament.

The talented golfer took a break after competing in the 2024 Tour Championship in Georgia, USA where he was crowned champion in September.
Scheffler is still placed at the top of the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) having spent over 100 weeks in the position.
Why Scheffler is among the favourites
The 2022/23 Byron Nelson Award winner won the 2023 Hero World Challenge by three strokes as he ended a successful 2023 season with a victory.
The year 2024 has seen Scheffer win seven PSG tournaments plus an Olympic gold medal in Paris, France and he will be looking to continue his winning form in this weekend's tournament.

“It was really cool for me two years ago just to get into this tournament. had seen the Hero World Challenge pretty much my entire life," Scheffler said after winning the 2023 Hero World Challenge.
"And it seemed like such a fun time, only 20 guys, 20 of the best players in the world coming down to play Tiger (Woods)’s event. It was very special this year having him back out on the course. Seeing him complete four rounds was so cool.
"It was fun getting in the lunchroom today and seeing him teeing off on the first hole, seeing the red and black walking down the fairways. As players, we’re excited to see him back. Hopefully, we’ll get to see more of him.”
