Xander Schauffele will be eager to finally win the
Phoenix Open having previously narrowly missed out on the trophy.
What to know about Schauffele
The American star has won 10 professional tournaments and his best major finish is tied second at both the 2018 Open Championship and the 2019 Masters.
Schauffele, who has seven wins in the PGA Tour, won the Olympic gold medal at the men's individual golf event of the 2020 Summer Olympics.

The 30-year-old took part in the recent AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in his home state, California, where he finished 54th.
Schauffele is placed fifth on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) ahead of the Phoenix Open and his best overall ranking is fourth.

The San Diego, Carlfonia-born golfer has been a consistent performer finishing in the top 10 in three successive tournaments before the T&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Schauffele was unlucky not to win the 2021 Phoniex Open as he finished second behind Brooks Koepka and he will now be keen to go one step further, and win the trophy.

Schauffele recently responded to 11rumours suggesting that he will soon leave the PGA Tour for LIV Golf and he's now set to compete in the 2024 Phoniex Open.
“I mean in the moment, if you’re not really thinking sharp or someone puts some heat on you, you may say the wrong thing and then it will come back and bite you when your mind changes,” Schauffele said on Golf.com.
“So, like, again, I just try to be as truthful as possible and that’s like being really safe, just saying, I’m here now, and I’m enjoying playing here now. “And people are just like, my god, he’s leaving.”
