Brazil, Spain and Mexico will continue their hunt for their second Olympic gold medal when they take part in the
Football Tournament quarter-finals.
The Young Selecao of Brazil are set to face Egypt in the last eight clash at the Saitama Stadium as they continued to the defence of their Olympic crown.
They won gold at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as the tournament hosts having defeated Germany 5-4 on penalties in the final following a 1-1 draw.
Brazil have won more medals than any other nation in the Olympics Football Tournament having clinched six - including three silvers and two bronzes.
Dani Alves, the Brazil U23 captain and defender, who is one of the most decorated players in the history of football, has stressed the importance of winning the 2020 Olympic Games gold medal.
"Every title has its own importance, but some are extra special. The Olympics is more special than others. It’s like the World Cup. It comes round every four years," Alves said.
"You have all the best athletes, the best teams from around the world. It enchants the whole world. Its magic is different. We’re a group of players who will be playing in the Olympics for the first time, and that will be magical, but we must stay focussed on our mission: to win another gold for our country."

While Spain are scheduled to take on Ivory Coast in a quarter-final match at the Miyagi Stadium as they continue their search for glory.
The Young Red Fury won their first and only gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games as the tournament hosts having defeated Poland 3-2 in the final.
They have won three medals in the Olympics Football Tournament including two silvers from the 1920 and 2000 competitions.
Lastly, Mexico will go head to head with South Korea in their quarter-final match which is scheduled to be played at the Nissan Stadium.
The Young Tricolor won gold at the 2012 London Olympic Games as they claimed a 2-1 win over tournament favourites Brazil in the final.
It remains Mexico's only medal in the Olympics Football Tournament and they are now hoping to go all the way and clinch their second gold medal.
