Naomi Osaka will lock horns with Emma Navarro in the second round of the 2024 Wimbledon on 3 July.
Previous round
Osaka marked her first appearance in the Wimbledon match in six years by defeating French player Diane Parry 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 on 1 July.
Navarro, on the other hand, defeated Chinese player Qiang Wang 6-0, 6-2 on 1 July to secure her place in this round of the tournament.
Wimbledon record
Osaka has never won the Wimbledon and her best performance in this competition came in 2017, and 2018 bowing out in the third round on both occasions.
However, the 26-year-old is a four-time Grand Slam singles champion, with two Australian Open and two US Open titles.
While Navarro is enjoying her breakthrough season in Wimbledon as she will be making her first-ever appearance in the second round of the competition.
The American won the NCAA Singles Championship in 2021 before she won her first WTA Tour title at the 2024 Hobart International.

"It felt like a dream," Osaka said about being back at Wimbledon after defeating Parry.
“I hope the match was very fun for everyone to watch,” she said. “I wished I could say I enjoyed it all the time. My heart was racing a lot.”
