Sahith Theegala will be targeting the second victory of his
PGA Tour career when he takes part in the 3M Open.
What to know about Theegala
The American golfer was a successful amateur golfer - winning the Southwestern Invitational, the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, and the Australian Master of the Amateurs.
Theegala turned professional in 2020 and he has since won two tournaments including the 2022 QBE Shootout (with his compatriot Tom Hoge).

The 26-year-old was in action at the recent 2024 The Open Championship in Scotland where he missed the cut.
Theegala is currently ranked 11th on the Official World Golf Rankings and it is also his best OWGR ranking.
Why Theegala is among the favourites
The Houston, Texas-based golfer is the highest-ranked player on the OWGR among those who are set to compete in the 2024 3M Open - making him one of the favourites to win the event.
Theegala, who finished fourth at the recent 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, will be looking to record his second win in the PGA Tour since he clinched the 2023 Fortinet Championship.

“I’ve never really had back issues to begin with, really. It’s just kind of a freak thing," Theegala, who recently had an injury scare, said at the 2024 PGA Championship.
"And now that it’s happened twice in the past couple years, it’s just a level of – I just need to focus on a little bit more, just strengthen the back muscles a little bit so that sucker doesn’t pop out again.
“Luckily, I’ve talked to some people, and it’s nothing. It’s really nothing. It’s just I’ve got to be more on top of that area.”
