Charles Leclerc will be looking to emerge victorious in the
Australian Grand Prix for the second time in his career.
What to know about Leclerc
The Monegasque star made his Formula One debut in 2018 with Sauber as part of the Ferrari Driver Academy after a successful junior racing career.
Leclerc, who has won eight Grands Prix across seven seasons, was runner-up in the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 2022 with Ferrari.
2024 Formula One season performance
The 27-year-old finished the season third in the championship on 356 points - 81 behind champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing and 18 behind McLaren's Lando Norris.
However, Leclerc outscored the rest of the field from the summer break onwards and achieved three victories from 13 podiums.
Why Leclerc could win the 2025 Australian Grand Prix
The 2017 FIA Formula 2 Championship winner won the 2022 Australian Grand Prix ahead of Sergio Perez of Red Bull Racing and Mercedes' George Russell.
Leclerc came close to winning the race for the second time in 2024 when he finished as the runner-up and he has what it takes to win this weekend's Australian Grand Prix.
What did he say?
"He's been great already to start working with Lewis," Leclerc said about his new teammate Lewis Hamilton.
"We've had a lot of fun playing chess already. I'm beating him by the way. No, no, but he's been really fun and now we just cannot wait to go out on track."
