Eastern Conference side Milwaukee Bucks will be going up against Western Conference’s Los Angeles Lakers at the Fiserv Forum on Friday morning, 14 March. They’ll be looking to snap their three match winless streak and get back on track.
With the Bucks occupying fourth position in the East, it’s imperative for them to win games in order to secure a spot in the playoffs.
Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been a key figure, with his name popping up in MVP conversations due to producing yet another incredible season. During the recent matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Antetokounmpo earned a spot in the
NBA’s Top 50 all-time scoring list.
His teammate Damian Lillard opened up their dynamic, as they’ve finally found their rhythm playing together however it did take a bit of time to get there.
Lillard also reflected on his growth along with his evolving relationship with the two-time MVP in a recent interview.
“Last year, was kind of like the learning part for me, just trying to figure it out,” he admitted. “Just like, how can I be the best complement to him?”
“The two-time MVP, a champion like the most dominant player in the game, and I came back into this year with a much better understanding of him and just a better version of myself.”
As for the Lakers who are third in the Western Conference, the side is also looking to get back to winning ways after losing against the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics respectively.
Following their ugly loss to the Nets, Lakers point guard Luka Doncic made a candid reflection and highlighted the challenges facing the team.
“Today wasn’t a good example of me, but you can see in the other games, when they blitz, we were in great spots,” Doncic said.
“When JJ said about communication today, that was the point. That’s my fault and we should have done better at that.”
