The Red Devils are winless in three league matches following a 4-2 loss at Leicester City last time out. This has further increased the pressure on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's shoulders and he will be desperate for his team to bounce back against a free-scoring Liverpool unit.
"When you look at the game, the four goals we conceded were poor," Solskjaer told Sky Sports. "The way we played, we don't deserve to continue that unbeaten away run.
"Lately we've not been in great form, lost too many points and that is something we have to look at. We might have to change, do we need more legs in there? What do we need?
"I am not making excuses for the team I put out there, they are top footballers and we haven't produced," he added. "The performance was not good enough, two goals from set-pieces is disappointing."
In contrast, Liverpool are the only team yet to lose a game in the league this season and moved four points clear of United with a 5-0 thumping of Watford. Roberto Firmino scored a hat-trick for the Reds at Vicarage Road in a match in which Mohamed Salah reaffirmed his status as arguably the best player in world football on current form.
"Come on, who is better than him (Salah)? We don't have to talk about what Messi and Ronaldo have done for world football and their dominance, but right now, he is the best," a delighted Jurgen Klopp told BT Sport.
"His (Salah's) performance was massive today. The pass for the first goal was great, and the second goal was special. He is top. We all see it."
On Liverpool's overall performance, he added: "After the international break it is hard to find the rhythm after playing different systems, but the boys were so good despite only having one session before today."
