Quotes

"I would like to thank the fans because they helped us and pushed us throughout the 90 minutes. We have to keep working," Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said after his side's defeat to Barcelona.

"We can't throw anything away just yet. The team competed for 60 minutes, but we have to forget the last 30 minutes. It was something special because we wanted to get the game back. The season is long, we can't give up and we have to learn from this defeat.

"We learned from the last one and we can apply the same theory now. Now we have to overcome the deficit because the season is long with a lot of games. We can do better and I'm sure we will."

Head-to-Head

Valencia and Madrid drew 2-2 in their last meeting in La Liga in a match that took place at the Estadio de Mestalla on 2 March.

Therefore, Los Blancos are undefeated in their last two league matches against the Bats having recorded one win and one draw.
