Quotes

"We would have liked to have gone into the international break with three points," Valencia manager Ruben Baraja said after his side's draw with Villarreal.

"It will help us to slot in the players who have just arrived, review things and insist on some aspects. We have to take advantage of the time with the players who stay here to work.

"We have to hold on to what we saw today. If on top of that you have Mestalla pushing you on, it gives the players a boost. They have helped us a lot to be ourselves."

Head-to-Head

Atletico claimed a 2-0 win over Valencia in their last meeting in La Liga with the match taking place at Estádio Cívitas Metropolitano on 28 January.
The Mattress Makers have won two of their last three matches against the Bats while the other game ended in a defeat.
