Francesco Bagnaia will be hoping to make history by becoming the first rider to win back-to-back Indonesian MotoGP titles.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider endured a disappointing race at the Emilia Romagna MotoGP on 22 September, the most recent event on the 2024 MotoGP calendar.
Bagnaia was forced to retire after being involved in a crash, but he won the sprint event which saw him collect 12 points from the race staged in Misano Adriatico.
MotoGP title ambitions
The man nicknamed Pecco is still placed second in the 2024 MotoGP Riders' standings having collected 317 points from 14 races.
Bagnaia is now 24 points behind the leader Jorge Martin of Ducati Prima Pramac Racing as the duo battle it out for the MotoGP world championship.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2024 Indonesian MotoGP
Pecco was crowned champion at the 2023 Indonesian MotoGP and he went on to win the 2023 MotoGP world championship.
The 2022 and 2023 MotoGP World Riders' champion will be determined to get his defence of the championship back on track by winning the Indonesian MotoGP.
What did he say?
“Today simply went the way it did," Bagnaia said after crashing at the 2024 Indonesian MotoGP.
"I was already having some issues with the front locking since the start of the race so even when the rear tyre started to perform with 15 laps in and set the fastest lap of the race two times in a row, I still tried to be as careful as possible, especially under braking.
"Then, I lost the front as I hit the brakes, despite being still in an upright position. It was a strange day no doubt, but we’ll be ready next time.”
