Jim Furyk will be looking to become the 13th USA captain to win the Presidents Cup as he returns to the Royal Montreal Golf Club.
What to know about Furyk
The 54-year-old, who will make his debut as captain of the USA Team, has appeared in seven Presidents Cups (1998, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011) and holds a 20-10-3 all-time record.
Furyk competed in the event’s only previous visit to Royal Montreal in 2007, posting a 3-2 record with two of his wins coming with golf icon Tiger Woods as his partner.

Furyk announced Stewart Cink, Justin Leonard and Kevin Kisner as captain’s assistants for the 2024 Presidents Cup.
The FedEx Cup champion and PGA Tour Player of the Year also selected Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Brian Harman, Russell Henley and Max Homa as his six picks for this year's Presidents Cup.
Why USA are the favourites
The team features some of the best players in the world including the top two golfers in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) right now, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele.
Furthermore, the current team is mostly made up of players who won the 2022 Presidents Cup - Scheffler, Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Sam Burns, Tony Finau and Max Homa were all part of the winning side two years ago.
