The match will be Thomas Tuchel's second as Blues boss following his appointment earlier this week. The former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain manager took over the reins from Frank Lampard ahead of the club's match at home to Wolves on Wednesday evening
Lampard was sacked following a run of three defeats in the club's last five matches, which left them in ninth spot and eleven points off the pace on the day of his departure.
“This was a very difficult decision for the Club, not least because I have an excellent personal relationship with Frank and I have the utmost respect for him," Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich said as quoted by the London club.
“He is a man of great integrity and has the highest of work ethics. However, under current circumstances we believe it is best to change managers.
“On behalf of everyone at the Club, the Board and personally, I would like to thank Frank for his work as Head Coach and wish him every success in the future. He is an important icon of this great club and his status here remains undiminished. He will always be warmly welcomed back at Stamford Bridge.”
Burnley are at home to Aston Villa in midweek before making the trip to London. The Clarets beat defending champions Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield last week to move seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Goals from Hakim Ziyech, Kurt Zouma and Timo Werner led the Blues to a 3-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor earlier this season. Chelsea beat their opponents by that same scoreline at Stamford Bridge last season.
